Recently celebrating 25 years of business, and located in downtown Denton, Texas (just north of Dallas) inside the historic purple Opera House, Recycled is a 17,000 square foot book and music store just waiting to be explored. "I'm happy to say that this is indeed one of those establishments 'not to be missed' no matter how far you may have to drive to get there. The books, almost universally in good condition, are quite nicely displayed. Ever subject is covered in great depth with labels and subheadings. The books are meticulously shelved and the titles represent a wide scope, from the more common (of which we saw few) to the more interesting (of which we saw many) ... If there is anything else I can say to tempt you to visit this store I would certainly do so, but perhaps the best plug I can give this shop is that I walked out with several volumes, all quite reasonably priced, and had we additional time, I could have easily filled my trunk. P.S. Don't miss some of the titles behind the locked glass cases."
Recycled Books truly does have something for everyone. With huge rooms dedicated to sections such as art and music, children's books, science, and metaphysics; a large mezzanine strictly devoted to literature, both classic and contemporary; and a huge basement full to the brim with nearly every kind of history book imaginable (not to mention psychology, cookbooks, politics, sociology, business, travel, and more), it's easy to find something interesting to sink your teeth into. Locked cases and rooms throughout the store hold hundreds of rare and collectible treasures for the serious collector or dealer. Paperbacks or hardbacks, old and new, fiction and nonfiction (far too broad of terms, as far as we're concerned!), we have it all!
